What Our
Clients Are Saying

“I am no Annika Sorenstam or teenage Michelle Wie, not even an aging Nancy Lopez. But I am a golfer with a very bad back for 15 years. My story is simple, finding relief was not. 15 years and 5 different therapists. Now I am finally getting the help I need at PTC. The therapist determined what the problem was and treated the problem, not the symptoms. They offer hands-on treatment techniques and stretching, strengthening and sport specific training so I can resume my passion. Three weeks ago I could not golf. Now I have been hitting golf balls for a week and I will play a tournament next week. PTC is the place to go for therapy!” —F.D.

About us

PTC of Bristol, LLC was formed in 2003, by Craig W. Zettergren, PT Cert. MDT, and his wife Kathleen, PT, EdD, CKYT. Individual treatment plans, hands on care and excellent results are the norm, not the exception. The owners and the staff have over 60 years of experience treating patients.  The second clinic, PTC of Southington-Cheshire opened its doors in 2006, along with the Yoga Center of Cheshire, LLC.

Both Craig and Kathleen have been physical therapists for many years after meeting at the University of Connecticut. Prior to opening Physical Therapy Center of Bristol, LLC, Mr. Zettergren was the director of rehabilitation at Bristol Hospital for their outpatient departments. Prior to that Mr Zettergren was the director of several other outpatient clinics in Connecticut.

Mr. Zettergren has developed the clinics spine program based on Robin McKenzie’s work with spinal patients. The program emphasizes self-management of your spinal pain. In 2008, Mr Zettergren was awarded being a credentialed McKenzie Practitioner and TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. Mr Zettergren has a passion for treating spine, sports, orthopedic, running and golf injuries.

Mrs. Zettergren received her Doctoral degree from the University of Sarasota. Her development of her clinical skills has led her to advanced studies in balance and falls prevention, vestibular dysfunction and yoga. She is a full time professor at Quinnipiac University and has completed research projects on yoga and balance in the elderly population.

The goal in our practice is to have happy, well-satisfied physicians and patients who would gladly refer their patients and family members to us for treatment. Patients treated to a maximum level of rehabilitation potential who would gladly return for service if needed.
